সবুজ উপত্যকার মাঝ দিয়ে বয়ে যায় একটা শান্ত নদী। দুই পাড়ে খেজুরগাছ, সকালের নরম রোদ। এমন শান্ত ছবির মতোই কিছু মানুষ আছেন, যাঁদের কথা বেশি শোনা যায় না, কিন্তু তাঁদের ভালোত্বের আলো চারপাশ উজ্জ্বল করে রাখে। আল্লাহর নবী আল-ইয়াসা (আ.)-এর কথা কুরআনে এসেছে এমনই অল্প কিন্তু সুন্দর কয়েকটি শব্দে।
A calm river flows through a green valley, with date palms on both banks and soft morning sunlight. Like that peaceful picture, there are some people we do not hear much about, yet the light of their goodness brightens everything around them. The Qur'an speaks of Allah's prophet Al-Yasa (peace be upon him) in just a few such beautiful words.
সুরা আনআমে আল্লাহ অনেক নবীর নাম একসঙ্গে উল্লেখ করেছেন। সেখানে বলা হয়েছে, “আর ইসমাঈল, আল-ইয়াসা, ইউনুস ও লূত—তাঁদের প্রত্যেককে আমি বিশ্ববাসীর ওপর শ্রেষ্ঠত্ব দিয়েছি।” (সুরা আনআম ৬:৮৬)
In Surah Al-An'am, Allah names many prophets together. There He says: “And Ismail, Al-Yasa, Yunus and Lut: each of them We favoured above all people.” (Qur'an 6:86)
এর একটু পরেই আল্লাহ এই নবীদের সম্পর্কে বলেছেন, এঁদের আল্লাহ সঠিক পথ দেখিয়েছেন। তাই তাঁদের পথ অনুসরণ করো। (সুরা আনআম ৬:৯০)
A little later, Allah says of these prophets that they are the ones Allah guided, so follow their guidance. (Qur'an 6:90)
সুরা সোয়াদে আল্লাহ আবার বলেছেন, “আর স্মরণ করো ইসমাঈল, আল-ইয়াসা ও জুলকিফলকে। তাঁরা সবাই ছিলেন উত্তম মানুষদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত।” (সুরা সোয়াদ ৩৮:৪৮)
In Surah Sad, Allah says again: “And remember Ismail, Al-Yasa and Dhul-Kifl. All of them were among the best.” (Qur'an 38:48)
আল-ইয়াসা (আ.) কোথায় থাকতেন, কাদের কাছে গিয়েছিলেন, তাঁর জীবনে কী কী ঘটেছিল—কুরআন বা সহিহ হাদিসে সে বিষয়ে বিস্তারিত কিছু বলা হয়নি। তাই আমরা বানিয়ে কোনো ঘটনা বলব না। কিন্তু আল্লাহ নিজেই যাঁকে ‘উত্তম’ বলেছেন, যাঁর পথ অনুসরণ করতে বলেছেন, তাঁর সম্মান কত বড়, তা সহজেই বোঝা যায়।
Where Al-Yasa lived, whom he was sent to and what happened in his life are not described in detail in the Qur'an or in authentic hadith, so we will not invent any events. But when Allah Himself calls someone among the best and tells us to follow his guidance, we can easily see how great his honour is.
আমরাও চাইলে আল-ইয়াসা (আ.)-এর মতো ভালো মানুষ হওয়ার চেষ্টা করতে পারি—চুপচাপ ভালো কাজ করা, আল্লাহর কথা মেনে চলা আর সবার সঙ্গে সুন্দর ব্যবহার করা। সবার চোখে না পড়লেও আল্লাহ সব ভালো কাজ দেখেন এবং মনে রাখেন।
We too can try to be good like Al-Yasa (peace be upon him): doing good quietly, obeying Allah and treating everyone kindly. Even if no one else notices, Allah sees and remembers every good deed.
