অনেক কাল আগে মিসরে ফিরআউন নামে এক অহংকারী, অত্যাচারী রাজা ছিল। সে বনি ইসরাইল জাতির ওপর খুব জুলুম করত, এমনকি তাদের ছেলেশিশুদের ক্ষতি করার নিষ্ঠুর আদেশও দিয়েছিল। ঠিক সেই কঠিন সময়ে বনি ইসরাইলের এক ঘরে জন্ম নিলেন এক শিশু—মুসা (আ.)।
Long ago in Egypt there was a proud and cruel king called Pharaoh. He treated the Children of Israel very harshly, and he had even given a cruel order to harm their baby boys. At that very difficult time, in a home of the Children of Israel, a baby was born—Musa (AS).
শিশুটিকে নিয়ে মায়ের মনে খুব ভয়। তখন আল্লাহ তাঁর মনে ইলহাম করলেন, “তাকে দুধ পান করাও। যখন তার জন্য ভয় পাবে, তাকে নদীতে ভাসিয়ে দিয়ো। ভয় পেয়ো না, দুঃখও কোরো না। আমি অবশ্যই তাকে তোমার কাছে ফিরিয়ে দেব এবং তাকে রাসূলদের একজন করব।”
His mother was very afraid for her baby. Then Allah inspired her: “Nurse him. When you fear for him, place him in the river. Do not be afraid and do not grieve. We will surely return him to you and make him one of the messengers.”
মা শিশুটিকে যত্ন করে একটি সিন্দুকের ভেতরে শুইয়ে দিলেন, তারপর আল্লাহর ওপর ভরসা করে নদীর পানিতে ভাসিয়ে দিলেন। ছোট ছোট ঢেউয়ে দোল খেতে খেতে সিন্দুকটি ভেসে চলল—ছলাৎ, ছলাৎ। মা মুসা (আ.)-এর বোনকে বললেন, “ওর পিছু পিছু যাও।” বোনটি নদীর পাড় ধরে দূর থেকে চুপিচুপি নজর রাখল, কেউ টেরও পেল না।
His mother lovingly laid the baby in a wooden chest, and, trusting in Allah, set it on the river. Rocking on the little waves, the chest floated away—lap, lap. She told Musa’s sister, “Follow him.” The sister walked along the riverbank, quietly watching from a distance, and no one noticed her.
ভাসতে ভাসতে সিন্দুকটি পৌঁছাল ফিরআউনের পরিবারের কাছে, আর তারা সেটি তুলে নিল। ভেতরে ফুটফুটে শিশু দেখে ফিরআউনের স্ত্রী আছিয়ার মন মায়ায় ভরে গেল। তিনি বললেন, “এ শিশু আমার ও তোমার চোখের শীতলতা হবে। ওর কোনো ক্ষতি কোরো না। হয়তো সে আমাদের উপকারে আসবে, অথবা আমরা তাকে সন্তান হিসেবে গ্রহণ করব।”
The chest floated until it reached Pharaoh’s household, and they lifted it out of the water. When Pharaoh’s wife, Asiya, saw the lovely baby inside, her heart filled with tenderness. She said, “He will be a joy to my eyes and to yours. Do not harm him. Perhaps he will be of benefit to us, or we may adopt him as our son.”
এদিকে ঘরে মুসা (আ.)-এর মায়ের মন দুশ্চিন্তায় অস্থির হয়ে উঠল। তিনি প্রায় সব কথা বলে ফেলছিলেন। কিন্তু আল্লাহ তাঁর মনকে দৃঢ় করে দিলেন, যাতে তিনি আল্লাহর প্রতিশ্রুতিতে বিশ্বাস রাখতে পারেন।
Meanwhile, at home, Musa’s mother was overcome with worry. She almost revealed everything. But Allah made her heart firm, so that she could keep her faith in His promise.
রাজপ্রাসাদে দেখা দিল নতুন সমস্যা। শিশুটি কোনো ধাত্রীর দুধই খাচ্ছে না! একের পর এক ধাত্রী এল, কিন্তু শিশু শুধু কাঁদে। আল্লাহ আগে থেকেই এমন ব্যবস্থা করে রেখেছিলেন। তখন মুসা (আ.)-এর বোন এগিয়ে এসে বলল, “আমি কি তোমাদের এমন এক পরিবারের খোঁজ দেব, যারা যত্ন করে একে লালন-পালন করবে এবং তার মঙ্গল চাইবে?”
In the palace a new problem appeared. The baby would not feed from any nurse! One nurse after another came, but the baby only cried. Allah had arranged this beforehand. Then Musa’s sister stepped forward and said, “Shall I show you a family who will look after him for you and truly care for him?”
তাঁর মাকে ডেকে আনা হলো। মায়ের কোলে উঠেই শিশুটি শান্ত হয়ে দুধ খেতে লাগল। এভাবে আল্লাহ মুসা (আ.)-কে তাঁর মায়ের কাছে ফিরিয়ে দিলেন—যাতে মায়ের চোখ জুড়ায়, তিনি আর দুঃখ না পান, আর জানতে পারেন যে আল্লাহর প্রতিশ্রুতি সত্য।
His mother was brought to the palace. As soon as she held him, the baby calmed down and began to feed. In this way Allah returned Musa (AS) to his mother—so that her eyes would be comforted, she would grieve no more, and she would know that Allah’s promise is true.
কখনো কখনো ভয়ের সময় আমরা পুরো পথ দেখতে পাই না। কিন্তু আল্লাহর ওপর ভরসা রাখলে, তিনিই সবচেয়ে সুন্দর উপায়ে পথ খুলে দেন।
Sometimes, when we are afraid, we cannot see the whole path ahead. But when we trust in Allah, He opens the way in the most beautiful manner.
